When did “Mom, may I have some breakfast please?” turn into “You should make me breakfast?’ I am praying this is another stage in the growth process and just another benefit (yes that is sarcasm) of having two teenagers under my roof. My tactic is to just ignore them until a proper question is asked. They are beginning to catch on. Even when texting.
Please know that the lack of manners my children may display has no direct relationship to my parenting (at least I can hope). They have been taught (and I am still teaching apparently) to use manners and respect others. If you encounter my children and they do not use manners, feel free to ignore them.
