Sunday Social {2.3.13}

As always, I am spending Sundays answering questions from Neely and Ashley for the Sunday Social link up (#19).

1. If you were stuck on an island what are the two material items you would want to have?

First of all thank you for specifying material.  It would be tough choosing between my kids and my iPhone.  Definitely my iPhone (with a solar charger of course) and a coffee maker.  I just hope that the island grows coffee beans and that I can find out how to roast them on my solar powered iPhone.

2. What are two TV shows you’d watch over and over

I am always watching NCIS and SVU even when I have seen the latest episodes. I watch these shows when I am not paying attention because it is easy to watch for a few minutes and know the story line.

3. If your house was on fire what two things aside from family, pets, etc would you grab?

I think we have already established my obsession with my iPhone so I would grab that.  Believe it or not we have a file box of important papers and such that is meant to be grabbed in case of a fire. Since we went through the trouble to set it up, I guess I would grab that.

4. What are your two most favorite articles of clothing?

I love my sweats and my big bulky sweaters.  Yes, I am a slob but a comfortable slob.  I have a feeling this will soon be changing to a sun dress and a skirt of some sort as the warm humid weather of Thailand will prevent me from wearing my big bulky sweaters.

5. What two movies that you saw in the past year would you recommend to us?

I do not think I have seen two movies in the last year.  Criminal I know. I don’t sit still very well so when I go to the movies I usually fall asleep. I began thinking it a waste of money.  That makes me sad too because I love going to the movies.  I did see Eat, Pray, Love on cable the other day, does that count?

6. What are your two biggest guilty pleasures?

Dessert. I love a good dessert with coffee.  My other guilty pleasure is napping. I always have so much to do but can’t resist a good nap.  I think we should implement mandatory siestas – think of what better moods people would be in.

This is one my self portraits from the Be Your Own Beloved Self-Portrait Journey.  I know the lighting is off but it hides all my wrinkles. :-) You can read about the start of my photo adventure here.

    I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who hasn’t seen any movies that they can remember…I just don’t love watching movies like most of America. I prefer a nice healthy dose of reality television, thank you very much :) )

      I am so glad. I thought for sure I would be banned from the community for that admission.
